The NORAD “Protecting Children at Risk of Losing Parental Care” Project is a five year initiative, funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) through SOS Children’s Villages Ghana and implemented by Friends of Adaklu in the Adaklu District from 2025 to 2029. The project supports 500 caregiver households across five electoral areas, helping families stay together by strengthening caregivers’ ability to provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes.

Through livelihood grants, business management training, psychosocial support, health insurance enrollment, positive parenting education, and school supplies for children, the project addresses both economic and emotional challenges that place children at risk. It also strengthens community based child protection systems to ensure children are protected, cared for, and able to thrive within their families and communities.
