Sea Works at Night

The Sea Works At Night Report: Registration of Beneficiaries

The Sea Works at Night Project is a livelihood- and child-focused recovery initiative led by Friends of Adaklu (FOA) in the coastal communities of Agavedzi, Salakorpe, and Amutinu in Ghana’s Ketu South Municipality. The project directly supports 50 households and impacts more than 300 children whose lives have been devastated by repeated tidal wave disasters that destroyed homes, fishing equipment, salt mining activities, and small businesses. Many families were left displaced and living in temporary shelters after losing their primary sources of income. Through this project, FOA works closely with community leaders and caregivers to provide livelihood support in fishing and salt mining, helping families rebuild stability, restore dignity, and regain the ability to care for their children. FOA also provides educational materials to children in beneficiary households to help them continue learning despite displacement and hardship, reducing the risks of school dropout, child labor, and neglect while giving children hope for a brighter future.
