Two ways to join

Volunteer or study abroad?

Volunteer with us

Help from home or on the ground in Adaklu—teaching, IT, fundraising, arts at Nunya Village, after-school programs, and more. Everyone on the FOA team is a volunteer; there are no paid staff.

  • Remote or in-person roles
  • Work with local teachers and community leaders
  • Match your skills to what villages actually need
  • No salaries—your time goes straight into the work
Volunteer application

Study abroad

Spend time in the Volta Region seeing how Adaklu communities run their own projects. You will work with schools, artisans, and local leaders—not a quick drop-in visit.

Reciprocity is what our school and community work is built on. We learn through cultural immersion, build real relationships, and put energy into projects that last—for girls, boys, women, men, and young people across Adaklu.
